About this Position

The Business Resource Division (BRD) provides business services to state agencies and local governments. As part of BRD, Fleet Operations manages over 5,000 sedans, SUVs, light trucks, vans, hybrids, and al/­electric vehicles. We provide vehicles for agency use with 4 daily rental sites and provide maintenance and service for these vehicles.


In this position, you will support the Fleet Operations in its dispatch office by providing clean, safe, and reliable vehicles for customers to use at all the daily rental locations. This position also provides customer service and general assistance with customer education for the self-automated key box system, Fones Rd reservation system, and WEX Fuel system.


Duties


Some of what you will be doing:
Provide upkeep on daily rental vehicles at all locations

  • Ensure all areas of vehicles are vacuumed, cleaned & fueled
  • Review service tag dates on vehicles to ensure they are not due for service
  • Clean all vehicle windows
  • Top off washer fluid and replacing wiper blades as needed
  • Replace vehicle lightbulbs when necessary
  • Perform walk-around inspections on daily rental cars and reporting damage to the main rental office
  • Transport vehicles to and from car washes or automotive service vendors
  • Assist customers at daily rental sites as necessary
  • Clean and prep vehicles for re-issue
  • Inspect parts, equipment, or vehicles for cleanliness, damage, and compliance with standards or regulations
  • Maintain inventory of supplies
  • Ensure that charging stations are functioning properly, as well as reporting outages
  • Make cleaning and service reservations for vehicles in the Automated key box system
  • Assists the dispatch team towards their satisfaction journey projects
  • Assists in the implementation and processes for the dispatch performance metrics
Transport vehicles from the daily trip fleet and from the maintenance shop to outside vendors
  • Drive vehicles to other dealerships & maintenance shops for service
  • Pick up auto parts & tires
  • Shuttle rental cars to required locations
  • Drive vehicles to detail shops
Provide backup at the main dispatch desk
  • Answer phones and assist with customer inquiries
  • Adds customers into the Fleet Commander system within 24 hours
  • Back up the dispatch front desk when needed

Qualifications


REQUIRED:

  • One (1) year of work experience in a garage or service station, or equivalent experience
  • One (1) year experience providing customer service
  • You must possess a valid driver's license that is free of serious traffic violations
  • Must be able and willing to work independently with little supervision
  • Willing and able to drive a diverse selection of vehicles
  • Willing to work as a positive and collaborative team member

PREFERRED:
  • One (1) year of experience working with computers such as Microsoft Office & Outlook
  • Experience using the Automated key box reservation system and hardware
  • Experience using Asset Works fleet management system
  • Experience driving a variety of vehicles
