Job Description

Harborview Medical Center's Centralized Transport Unit is seeking a CNA / Transporter.

WORK SCHEDULE

  • 90% FTE (36 hours per week)

  • Day shift

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Transporting patients and supplies to all areas of the hospital

  • Completes transports in an efficient manner, understanding the importance and impact of patient flow throughout the hospital

The successful candidate will also be responsible for the following functions:

  • In collaboration with the Registered Nurse, understands patient care needs and utilizes them during transport if necessary (i.e., oxygen)

  • Utilize technology to respond to transport requests and escalate transport concerns

  • Remains knowledgeable about safe transportation practices

  • Utilizes effective and clear communication skills

Qualified candidates:

  • Required: High school diploma or GED

  • Required: Active Nursing Assistant-Certified (CNA) with the State of Washington

  • A minimum of 1-year of CNA experience

Compensation, Benefits and Position Details

Pay Range Minimum:

$28.26 hourly

Pay Range Maximum:

$40.47 hourly

Other Compensation:

Evening: $1.50/hour Night: $2.25/hour Weekend: $1.50/hour
