Job Description

The Digital Merchandiser is responsible for driving product discoverability and delivering a seamless, customer-centric shopping experience across digital platforms. They will act as primary navigation and merchandising executor for their business, typically owning execution in the 0 – 5 months window. This role blends analytics, storytelling, navigation, merchandising execution, and cross-functional leadership to support category, seasonal and promotional priorities. The ideal candidate is proactive, collaborative, curious, analytical and is committed to delivering Nordstrom customer service in everything they do.

Responsibilities

Working cross-functionally with expert teams, the Digital Merchandiser is responsible for:

  • Understanding NMG product priorities and initiatives; developing and supporting customer-first navigation strategies that reflect priorities on digital platforms
  • Analyzing customer behavior and navigation, filter, search performance to identify in-season actions and future planning opportunities
  • Synthesizing customer analysis, insights, and actions down pyramid and cross-functionally
  • Developing and executing a seasonal product merchandising strategy across digital platforms to support navigation, category management, and ranking
  • Partnering with Marketing & Content to execute campaign linking & ranking strategies across digital platforms, driving strong connection between content and product
  • Creating and maintaining navigation and tokens via the Compass tool in partnership with Customer Experience Strategy
  • Engaging with Content, Customer Experience Strategy, Digital Events, Organic Discovery, and Taxonomy teams to support cross-platform initiatives
  • Recapping and sharing results across partners and business stakeholders

Qualifications

The Digital Merchandiser role requires multiple functional disciplines and skill sets. The ideal candidate will have 3 years of digital merchandising, ecommerce, merchandising, or marketing experience. They be comfortable with seasonal retail cycles and have a history of:

  • Driving business outcomes through planning and execution
  • Leveraging data to evaluate and optimize performance (e.g. Tableau, Looker, Excel)
  • Building trust and communicating effectively with peers and cross-functional partners up and down the pyramid
  • High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative.
  • Keen sense of prioritization to focus on business outcomes
  • Experience with merchandising fundamentals, content management systems, navigation or digital workflows, taxonomy or product page management is preferred

This role is hybrid in Seattle, WA, requiring four days in office per week.

Pay Range Details


The pay range(s) below has been provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different for other locations.
Pay offers are dependent on the location, as well as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

$80,000.00 - $132,000.00 Annual
